Torry Holt released from the Rams.
March 13, 2009
Tori Holt was released Friday, after ten seasons with the Rams. After two season’s of not doing so great, they did not have the money or the right to keep him.
All though Holt was one of the better wide out’s in the NFL for a while, he started slacking off a little after ten seasons with the Rams. Last season, he only had 64 catches for 796 yards and 3 thouchdown receptions. That is not good for any wide receiver in the NFL.
After releasing him, the Rams freed almost 8 million dollars worth of cap space. They are trying to rebuild there team with young, smart people that will lead them to a great future. Still, the decission to release Holt wasn’t easy. He had many great years in St. Louis, and helped lead them to the super bowl.
So, will this be the end of his career, or will he come back and play for a different team. He is out there, but is anyone willing to pick him up?
