Eagles soar through Vikings!
January 4, 2009
Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles soared through the Vikings, playing like all stars. They played great, while the Vikings did so to!
McNabb and the Eagles weren’t doing so great at first, they couldn’t get anything going. There first three scores were all field goals! It was like that would get into scoring range, then kinda slow down and not play as hard.
Peterson and the Vikings were doing really good at first! Well, there first couple of drives there offense wasnt doing so well. Then on a couple of drives later, they finally found a way to put itin the endzone! Peterson ran a 40 yard touchdown and put the Vikings up 7 to 6.
Later on into the game, the Eagles offense started clicking. McNabb hooked up with running back Brian Westbrook who ran a 71 yard touchdown. He made a couple of guys miss, and went all the way!
As the Eagles offense started clicking, the Vikings offense kinda slowed down a little bit. They couldn’t get anything going really after half time. One time they got a fumble recovery, and were in good field position. After the fumble, they ended up punting, not being able to put any points on the board.
In the last quarter, the Vikings couldn’t do anything at all. They ended up punting almost everytime they got the ball, not being able to push the ball down the field anyway. Adrian Peterson couldnt get any good runs off, causing the Vikings to have to pass. Passing didn’t really work out for them!
As the Eagles started to speed thing up a little bit, the Vikings started slowing down. This caused them to loose the game! So, the Eagles are now going to the second round of the playoffs, while the Viking are going back to the practice field to get ready for next year!
