Cardinals demolish Panthers!
January 11, 2009
The Arizona Cardinals demolished the Panthers, without being the favored team. No one expected for the Cardinals to win this one, but they somehow pulled it off.
Kurt Warner and the Cardinals are one game away from there first super bowl apperance. Warner is playing like a star, and there defense is awsome.
Today when the Cardinals played the Panthers, the Panthers couldn’t do anything at all. The Cardinals defense demolished them. Jake Delhomme, Panthers quarterback, threw 5 interceptions, wich was a big part of the reason why the Cardinals won. Also, the panthers didn’t do good running the ball. They did score once running it, but they only had 80 total rushing yards. Jake Delhomme could not get the ball to the star wide receiver Steve Smith. He only had 2 receptions for 43 yards. He did end up with one touchdown reception, but if the Panthers wanted to win, he would have had to got more!
This game the Cardinals played great. Kurt Warner threw for 220 yards and 2 touchdown passes. He did end up with one interception, but that didn’t really change anything. Edgerin James of the Cardinals ran for 57 yards and a touchdown, leading the Cardinals to the victory. The only time the Panthers were even close to the Cardinals was at the start of the game. After words, the Panthers couldn’t stop them.
Ending the game, the final score was 33 - 13 with the Cardinals coming out on top over the Panthers. Now the Cardinals only have to win one more game, and they will be in the super bowl. Next week, they will either play the Eagles or the Giants, we will find out toommorrow.
